Best Friends Forever <3

I want to blog about someone so special to me.
My best friend ever :)
She's beautiful and so very talented.
She's always there for me.
She has lifted me up when I am down.
She has given me strength when I needed it most.
One of my favorite things about our friendship is that we can talk and talk and talk.
We never run out of things to say to each other.
We can hang out all day and still talk on the phone all night long! :D
So here's to you:
Sarah Maines
You walked with me
Footprints in the sand
And helped me understand
Where I’m going
You walked with me
When I was all alone
With so much I no along the way
Then I heard you say
I promise you
I’m always there
When your heart is filled with sorrow and despair
I’ll carry you
When you need a friend
You’ll find my footprints in the sand

Things I LOVE! <3

Ten things I love Today (not necessarily in any particular order)
1. Grapes: They are like little melons!
2. Water Bottles: I always have one on me. They're just so great and fun!
3. Books: They are fabulous! You can immerse your self in a whole other world!
4. Sunflower Seeds: Another thing I always have!
5. Stars: They're so sparkly and HAPPY! They remind me that there's something more!
6. Dance Parties: I'm a spaz...therefore I love to dance. :D
7. School: I'm really bored and kind of wish I was in school right now. I dislike NOT learning things....so therefore right now I love school.
8. Phones: For reals, I would have hated to live in a time where it took longer than 30 seconds to reach someone.
9. Babies: I want one. But alas I shall have to wait a while longer. For now I shall make do with friend's babies!
10. Nail Polish: Well I pretty much buy a new color everytime I go to Wal-Mart. And if you even knew how much I use nail polish you would understand that it's not even a waste of money.
The End!

FAME

So over the weekend a new movie came out. FAME! I went and saw it and it was just amazing! I absolutely loved it! I don't want to give anything away so I won't say much. I will say that it wasn't really what i expected though. It wasn't at all like all the other typical dance and music movies out there.

They have a great cast for the movie. One of my favorite characters was a guy named Marco who is played by Asher Book. His voice is phenominal. Here's a little taste! ;)

Lessons in Life

So I recently learned a new life lesson!

The other night a group of my friends decided to play soccer in the church gym. I was wearing sandals so I just decided to play barefoot. I didn't anticipate how competitive the group of friends I was playing with would get, so I figured I in turn wouldn't get too aggressive. This was a huge mistake on my part. Maybe I was just being oblivious to everyone else but I really got into the game and soon I was hurt.

I honestly don't remember what happened. I just know that all of a sudden my big toe on my left foot was throbbing in pain. Even though I could barely walk, let alone RUN, I continued to play. You may ask why, and to be honest I ask myself that same exact question. But not paying attention to the utter stupidity of the decision, I continued playing until I accidently kicked the ball with my left foot out of pure reflex.

Stupid oh how very stupid I was!

My big toe is broken or sprained or jammed or something. I have to go to the doctors to find out, but I'm sure it's not good, considering the fact that I can barely walk and it's an ugly blue color.

As I sat out and watched the rest of the game I talked to my friend Brian who had recently broken a rib playing soccer. He told me that it was my own fault for playing soccer without shoes on. He then continued with asking me "And what have you learned from this?"

I responded with a humble "Not to play soccer without shoes."

"That's right," Brian said. He then continued with, "I've learned in my life the stupider decisions someone makes the unluckier they get."

I didn't need his pointed look at my mangled toe to know that he was talking about my decision to play soccer without shoes.

Needless to say that never again will I play soccer without shoes. But what Brian said has stuck with me. It's so very true that in life we all make stupid decisions that leave us with unlucky results. If we want to lead a luckier life than maybe we should start making smarter decisions!
